プロジェクト教員1名、兼務教員４名から組織され、ほかに客員教員、研究推進協力員で構成されます。
主な業務内容は、「作庭記」など日本の古文書に見える庭園資料の収集・解読・翻刻作業、中国文献に見える苑池・園林関係資料の収集・解読の研究、日本の庭園の民俗学的研究などを推進します。
■Department of Literature Research
This department is composed of one full-time instructor and four instructors holding dual posts at the centre and university. In addition there will be two honorary instructors and research staff. The main duties are to collect, read, and translate ancient literature on Buddhist gardens, collect and investigate readings from Chinese literature related to Buddhist gardens, and conduct research on Japanese Buddhist garden folklore.
