プロジェクト教員２名、兼務教員５名から組織され、ほかに客員教員、研究推進協力員で構成されます。主な業務内容は、平泉遺跡群の発掘調査・研究の支援、中国古代庭園の資料調査や発掘調査の支援、平泉関係の出土遺物に関する理化学的分析の実施および協力、平泉関係の低湿地採取の土嬢分析の実施および協力を推進します。
■Department of Archeological Research
This department is composed of two full-time instructors and five instructors holding dual posts at the centre and university. In addition there will be two honorary instructors and research staff. The primary duties are archeological surveys and support of research, assistance in investigating written materials on ancient Chinese Buddhist gardens, chemical and physical analysis of Hiraizumi artifacts, and analysis of the soil in Hiraizumi swampy lowlands.
